 ORGANIC COTTON 

features designs created using 100% organic cotton sourced from Spiritex, featuring an ethical,

small and locally grown and manufacturerd cotton here in the u.s

 

 RENEWED & UPCYCLED 

features limitted designs made with cotton and other natural fibers. 

Renewed are already existing one of a kind pieces we find in vintage and thrift shops and give them a twist, a second life with a new fresh nature pattern.

The Upcycled are sourced from NYC area of unwanted fabric stash through @fabscrap,

 saving it from being burned or discarded in the landfill.

Deadstock fabrics are the left over fabrics of mostly large fashion houses who ordered too much of it. 

 We rescue these deadstock fabrics, be it a roll or small quantities and create often times limited collections with them.

BLACK DYES ON OUR ORGANIC COTTON COLLECTION

all our blacks are scoured (prepared to be dyed)  by our organic cotton supplier without harmful chemicals using a gentle biodegradable citrus scour, dyed using low impact, low salt fiber reactive dyes, and utilizing low liquor jets that minimize dyestuff waste. the post dying wastewater is treated at the plant to ensure nothing environmentally harmful remains in the effluent.

OUR IN THE HOUSE PLANT DYES

all our plant dyed garments, both organics and upcycles, are hand dyed with plants in our studio in Brooklyn, New York.

we believe the ever changing nature of natural plant dyes only adds to the beauty

and allows customers to co-create and influence the colors depending on how the garment is treated.

we recommend washing with like colors in cool water, hang dry. 

 uneven color is intentional.

plant dyes are a living color and it may shift with time.
