frayed edges and uneaven color is intentional and the scarf is pre-washed and ready to wear.
 
best to wash with like colors in cool water, hang dry.
but i understand that we all have differently paced lives so machine wash on delicate cycle in cool water is fine. but please wash with like colors. 
 
color may shift with time and that is the beauty of nature.
