About the event

Indigo and Cacao. An Intentional Evening

Join us for an intimate evening of indigo dyeing and cacao, held in the energy of the New Moon - a potent time for setting intentions and calling in what you wish to carry forward.

What to Expect

We will gather in a small, intentional circle to sip ceremonial cacao, set a personal intention, and dye a piece of natural fabric to wear close to the body - a wearable reminder of what we are choosing to bring into being.

Together, we will work with a living organic indigo vat that has been slowly prepared and lovingly tended over time - a process of patience, care, and transformation that mirrors the intentions we bring to the evening.

This is not a traditional dye workshop or a tie-dye class. We will work with indigo in a simple, intuitive way, creating organic patterns and softly layered tones unique to each piece.

We move slowly and intuitively, with time for presence rather than instruction.

Our dye studio is outdoors beneath a spacious canopy, surrounded by nature. We'll gather and dye outside together, and the canopy allows us to continue comfortably even if it rains. Only in the case of severe weather would the gathering be rescheduled.

What to Bring

Please bring one medium-sized garment or textile made from a natural fiber such as linen, cotton, silk, rayon, bamboo, or tencel. Your piece should be pre-washed, dry, and free of fabric softener or dryer sheets.

You might bring a beloved piece that already holds meaning, a garment with a stain or two you'd like to give new life to, or something which story you're ready to change.

Indigo also loves to play with color - a yellow piece may become green, orange may shift into mossy or earthy tones, pink into purple, and each piece transforms in its own beautiful way.

Medium-weight fabrics work best for this process. Very heavy garments, such as thick jackets or multi-layer pieces, can absorb a significant amount of dye and are best left for another time so that the dye bath can be shared by the group.

Please wear clothing and shoes you don't mind getting a few blue specks on.

Your Host

I'm Edyta, an artist and textile designer, plant lover, natural dyer, and the founder of I Wander Through. My work is inspired by natural textiles, botanical color, and intentional living. Indigo has become one of my greatest teachers, inviting me into patience, presence, and trust in the creative process. It is a joy to open my outdoor dye studio, share this living indigo vat, and gather in community for an evening of color, intention, and transformation.
